Allgorun Co., Ltd. announced on the 14th that it conducted tropical fruit cultivation training at the Gochang-gun Agricultural Technology Center on the 10th.
While "Apple Mango" is emerging as a high-income crop to cope with climate change, Hyun Haeng-yeol, director of the Gochang Agricultural Technology Center, attended the training in person to reflect the high interest of the field.
Choi Ik-joon, CEO of Allgorun, who was a lecturer, introduced a high-quality apple mango grafting seedling introduced in Korea through a technical collaboration with Miyaki Corporation in Japan and said, "Farmhouse damage has frequently occurred due to unverified foreign seedlings or low-quality seedlings."
In addition, he emphasized, "The success of cultivation depends on which breed you choose at the beginning and which technical partner you work with."
Allgorun signed an MOU with Gochang-gun earlier this year and plans to distribute high-quality apple mango varieties sequentially to excellent farmers in the Gochang area. The seedlings distributed are all grafted seedlings that have been grown for more than four years, and can be harvested quickly, which is advantageous for initial profit generation. In addition, Allgorun provides solutions to respond to diseases and insect pests and standardized cultivation manuals to help beginner farmers grow stably.
A farmer who attended the training said, "In the past, I thought Apple Mango was only possible in Jeju, but today's training convinced me that it is possible in Gochang," adding, "If proven varieties and technical support are provided together, it will be established as a new crop of income."
In the future, Allgorun plans to cooperate with various local governments, including Gochang, to expand the distribution of customized varieties, transfer of cultivation technology, processing and export-linked projects. In particular, it is creating a foundation for cultivation of Apple Mango, centering on young returnees and retired farmers, and is developing the sustainability and competitiveness of local agriculture together.
